Good Morning Martin, I tried that many years ago - prior to the Canada Census Campaign.when I was trying to determine where my Ggrandfather was [he was an a passenger list for 1898] arriving in Halifax N.S.,but no further sight of him. I also needed to know when my grandparents 3 daughters [all born in Canada] passed away within 2 days -so that I could possibly find where they were buried, hopefully in time for our family reunion in Alberta. Vital Stats could not find their death regs. Naturally - my request for Census information [ I did not ask for personal information -copies - only if the names appear ] was denied - very nicely and with regrets. With the release of the 1906 Census - found that the girls do not appear with the family [my research timeline is now reserved to 1904 when one was born - and pre 1906 Census.] Might be interesting to write and request info. at this time.
