    3. To all:- My lazy way of sending letters is starting to pay off! I first send an e-mail, then print the e-mail, sign it and with this one, I remember adding my phone number. ============ Check http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Score5.htm#NB CHARLES HUBBARD of Miramichi riding is fully in favour of census release and will also be telling Lorna (Senator Lorna Milne) tomorrow. He also agrees 92 years is long enough and there could definitely be no chance of identity theft after so many years. ============== I enjoyed talking to him -- about his surname, origin of same, [after he found out I was from the East coast], about the place Hubbard's in Nova Scotia -- and much more. Hoping for more phone calls!!! Muriel M. Davidson muriel_davidson@sympatico.ca Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee Brampton, ON http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~downhome/post1901census.htm

    3. Hi Gordon and Muriel My petitions will go in the mail to you tomorrow. Sorry it's not many but I have managed to get about a dozen signatures on each (Senate and House). Now I have another question or two for you: In a couple of weeks I will be heading to Toronto, Regina and Edmonton to visit friends and family. Can I use one petition for all even though they are in different provinces? I will be finishing up my holiday with a week long genealogy course in Salt Lake City. I will take petitions along as well. So long as I keep the non-residents' signatures on the proper form, can I collect Canadian citizen signatures while in the USA (note the form asks where the signatures were collected). I just want to make sure I don't get a whole bunch of signatures that some bureaucrat will decide to void because they are collected out of country. Patty in Ottawa http://pasttimes.topcities.com/
