To all -- The following note, along with 30 signatures for the Senate of Canada, but Philip will keep on gathering -- more later. My biggest fear for the current legislature is that it will be short-lived and we will have to start all over again.---- Hopefully something will occur before the session ends -- Maybe chief of Stats-Can Dr. Ivan P. Fellegi will retire. The majority of signatures are from friends and acquaintenances of the undersigned -- some were from the local Extended Care Unit in St. Joseph's Hospital. --- As for the signatures being sent in at present, these will be SAFE until presented to back up a census bill. Once the bill is presented and petitions given as backing, we just keep on going -- hopefully Parliament would not have to be prorogued. The Non-Resident signatures can only be used after or following Second Reading -- these are coming from all parts of the world. Muriel
