Muriel: Your e-mail is terribly ambiguous, especially for a newpaper editor. So are we now on a campaign to defeat the Liberals?????Do you really think a Tory- Alliance party would do better for us. I take exception to your turning this list into a politically-partial one. If that's what you want, then I believe the NDP is the only party who'd do the right thing. You'll only divide us if you continue to bring partisan politics to the list.!!! > Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2003 11:17:15 -0400 > From: "Muriel M. Hello Bob - your message is very disturbing to me as an Albertan and I would like you to spell out for me exactly (without Liberal rhetoric) what it is that Ontario and other Easterners have against the Alliance as a party, excluding comments about one leader. We at least had the guts to realize we made a mistake and did something to correct it. This site has had to become political due to the mismanagement of the reigning Liberal government with their dictatorial leader, their secrecy, lying, wastage, and general idiocy. It has also been the Liberal rhetoric and deliberate skewing that has brought forward some of the absurd statements about Alliance policies. I have only been part of the CCC for a short time compared to Muriel and Gordon Watt and a few others, but it was the secrecy in decisions made by unelected bureaucrats, and sneering by political appointees (make that hacks) that caused this site to be set up in the first place, along with what ultimately turned into legal actions to get public records made available to us. By law these records legally belong to the people of Canada and one little bureaucrat decided on his own and has worked diligently ever since, to get these records held in secrecy forever or destroyed. We are trying to point out that we cannot afford another majority Liberal government if we hope to save this country in its present form. I am sorry if you don't like the Alliance party - live out west for awhile and you just might change your mind as many expatriate eastern people have. One of the joys so far of living in Canada is our right to express our political opinion and differences, but it does not need to be insulting.
