    3. Greetings All With school out now and the warm (hot?) weather with us many will be preparing to go on holidays. Today I have personally been doing some minor repairs on my fifth wheel trailer in prepararation for a trip to Saskatchewan to join other relatives, some of whom I have met, and others that I have not, for a PERRIN family reunion. It is to be held on 9, 10 and 11 July at Battlefords Provincial Park, north of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. I will be using this occasion to do a number of things: -- Taking pictures of all who attend. -- Update my family history database. -- Bringing those who attend up to date with the Census issue, and encouraging them to submit Access to Information requests for the 1911 Census records. Family reunions and similar functions are a good place to let those who may not know about the Census issue, and our efforts to rectify it, just what it is all about. Regarding my own trip, I will be leaving home on this coming Tuesday, July 1 and will be on the road for somewhere between two and three weeks. I will have my laptop with me and will be keeping up with my email. As interesting as the resignation of our Privacy Commissioner, and the reasons for it, may be, I am more interested in knowing that listers are contacting their parliamentary representatives, submitting ATI requests and soliciting the help of others in our campaign to regain access to the Census records currently being withheld from us. I wish for everyone a safe, productive and happy summer. Happy Hunting Gordon A.
