Good morning Pamela. I am aware that there have been many ATI requests submitted for access to the schedules of the 1911 National Census of Canada, including one of my own. In accordance with the ATI Act, Statistics Canada is required to respond to such requests within 30 days of receipt of those requests. That period, for many of the submitted requests will expire this week. I am receiving inquiries from a number of people who submitted requests and who state they have received no acknowledgement of receipt for their requests. I have, myself, received no such acknowledgement for my own request mailed 2 June 2003. Would you be so kind as to advise me of the current status of the ATI requests for access to records of the 1911 National Census of Canada?
