    3. Sorry -- no mention in any of the issues I have read. My apologies -- guess the printer's ink disappeared from my veins! I read many online newspapers -- that could be my problem -- my favorite, of course, is the Halifax Herald, where I worked. Do not worry about Fellegi -- he is likely on "????" HIT LIST. I am hoping there will be scrutiny of all -- we pay their salaries. Thank heaven we have some Members of Parliament who are not afraid of being "sacked" by the PMO -- where there is too much power. Muriel M. Davidson ----- Original Message ----- Hi Muriel, In your message on the CCC list today you state that: "The Toronto Star, of which Radwanski was editor-in-chief, is FINALLY printing the story. However, much more in Toronto Sun, especially George Weston's column from the Ottawa Bureau". You must not have been regularly reading the Toronto Star during the past two weeks, Muriel. The Toronto Star has covered the Radwanski affair in great detail in practically every single issue of the paper since the beginning of June. In some cases, the Toronto Star has had several articles in each day's paper and were actually the first newspaper in Canada to devote full cover the story. The Toronto Star even had the Radwanski story on the front page several times during the past few days. How could you possibly miss the extensive and continuing coverage that the Star has given to this story? Your statement that the Toronto Star is FINALLY printing the Radwanski story today is simply NOT TRUE at all! Your message subtly implies that just because Mr. Radwanski was previously an editor-in-chief at the Toronto Star, the paper has been trying to bury the story. But that is definitely not the case. In fact, having read all the articles that have appeared in the Star over the past couple of weeks, I have actually got the distinct impression that the reporters at the Star and their Ottawa bureau have been inciting public opinion AGAINST Mr. Radwanski. I have a strong impression that many people at the Toronto Star [especially those who worked with him in the past] don't like Mr. Radwanski very much and are quite gleeful to witness his self-initiated and long-overdue demise from the public scene. Are you by any chance a regular reader of the Toronto Sun, but not a subscriber to the Toronto Star, Muriel? For what it's worth, my own personal opinion is that the Toronto Star is a much more newsworthy, accurate, reliable, higher-quality and credible source of information than the more sensationalistic, tabloid-style editorial "fluff" that appears in the Sun. In any case, Muriel, I hope that you will keep an open mind about the news coverage that appears in the Toronto Star and give them their due credit for being the first paper to bring the Radwanski investigation under public attention and scrutiny. Now that Mr. Radwanski has thankfully been deposed from his throne, we need to find a way to similarly eradicate Dr. Ivan Feligi from his own personal fiefdom at Statistics Canada. Like that scoundrel Radwanski, Feligi has needlessly squandered public funds on useless research studies and opinion polls, tried to deceive government officials and the Canadian public with untruthful and deceptive statements, and flagrantly defied parliament by refusing to execute his sworn duties and responsibilities as laid down by law. Dr. Feligi might be a Civil Servant, but he is certainly neither civil nor a servant of the public trust. It's time to turn our collective attention now to the task of bringing down Dr. Feligi and his co-conspirators at Statistics Canada. D. Garnett --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
