To all -- While visiting my husband at Sunnybrook Veteran's Wing in Toronto today, I was asked by the vice-president of the Sunnybrook Resident's Council about the progress of S-13. [This is a well-educated former officer of WWII, computer literate -- only there because he is "missing 2/3 of a leg".] Lloyd ____ (I know the surname) suggested a VETERAN'S petition -- in memory of all veterans killed in service of our country/countries. The names of those killed in WWI are on the 1911 census records. [1910 in United States] He also suggested we contact each of the Prime Ministerial hopefuls -- gain his or her feelings (not thoughts) about the release of OUR records. It was also suggested we not hold our breath while waiting for one to voice support for release! Lloyd's opinion: We may as well forget about this until there is a new Prime Minister. [Please remember, many of those at Sunnybrook, whether Canadian or American veterans, are well-read and educated]. Muriel M.
