Subject: Submission concerning Genetically inherited diseases Date: Thu, 25 May 2000 07:48:02 -0400 From: Expert Panel <fe-expertpanel@statcan.ca> To: "Muriel Davidson (E-mail)" <davidson3542@home.com> I would like to apologize for the delay in acknowledging your submission to the Expert Panel. We have indeed received your submission concerning genetically inherited diseases. The copies of the report were presented to the members of the Expert Panel at their May 1st, 2000 meeting Thank you for taking the time to make your views known. Dr. Pamela White Secretariat/Secrétariat Expert Panel on Access to Historical Census Records/ Comité d'experts sur l'accès aux dossiers historiques du recensement ==================================================== I had to phone Ottawa, ask a few questions as I felt the submission sent by myself and others whose notes were included, was very important. I have written back to Dr. Pamela White, assured her many more unknown diseases have been made known to me. An offer was made, should she desire them, that I would forward. I also let her know that many memos have been received about babies being adopted -- I personally believe each baby when placed should be complete with at least two generations of medical history, blood types -- not names of adopting parents. This would save much heartache in the future. Muriel <davidson3542@home.com>
