    3. I have just read in the June issue of "Family Tree Magazine" and I quote: "Exciting News! The census Act Amendment bill has passed through the Senate. That means that we have saved the next Australian census for posterity. This will be the first Australian national census ever retained in some 200 years" >From a letter written by Nick Vine Hall, Chairman, Census Working Party. Food for thought, I think? So if Australia has seen sense, why on earth are the Canadian politicians trying to destroy the census records? Makes you wander what they're afraid of being found! Regards, Ann McClean.
