The following message was sent by Wayne Scott following the news last week that Hon. Jane Stewart, Minister of Human Resources, had files on all of us -- dead or alive. She kept insisting we would have to go through Access to Information to see what is in OUR personal files. I did this -- I learned how old I was, my mother was born in Maine, how many bank accounts I had, investments, pensions, and much more -- we even had a car and camper van plus more. We need EVERYONE to contact their Member of Parliament -- but first check to see if he/she has a GOLD tick, BLUE ? or RED X. If Blue or Red -- get out the writing paper or use the computer but get the letter to them - to greet them after their vacation. Muriel M. Currently, the chart at http://www.globalgenealogy.com/census/index6.htm indicates that you remain undecided. [BLUE ?] Now - with the revelation that our government maintains extensive, secret files might be a timely opprtunity to come out in favour of more openness with at least century-old facts...
