To all:- We have too many ELECTED (at present) Members of Parliament who have not bothered to answer questions asked of them by many who have let us know ALL elected ones had been questioned. Last summer I sent 301 letters, FREE postage, and received only 25 answers. Gordon Watts has contacted them several times, as had Rick Roberts of Global Genealogy. Now -- with a possible election pending -- it is up to the voters to ask IF he or she will vote in favor of opening the Post-1901 census records. Also, are they in favor of Access to Information Bill C-206 being passed. Recently, Genetically Inherited Diseases became a prime topic, Go to the archives and type in your search word(s) at http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/CAN/CANADA-CENSUS-CAMPAIGN.htm For those who are FENCE-SITTERS or have BLUE ??????, go to http://www.globalgenealogy.com/census/index6.htm Adam, a former employee at Global Genealogy, set up the Scoreboard. When you let us know how your Member of Parliament responds, Gordon Watts updates the scoreboard -- we want it completed prior to a fall election. Adam included a handy "pop-up" for your e-mail. One lady (name withheld) did a mass blitz yesterday of all "fence sitters and blue question marks" Another reported she had sent memos to all Reform members in Alberta. I sent the list to myself, so it is open on my screen in a special memo. This keeps it handy -- even easier than bookmarking! Muriel M.
