    3. Hi Muriel, The report from the panel is suppose to be released in a few days to the Hon. John Manley. Do you know if and when the report is actually going to be released to the public? All the best Wayne Cook http://www.waynecook.com (A History Television Approved Site) and your host for the Simcoe County Genweb page at http://www.waynecook.com/simcoe.shtml 1. 3. Hi Wayne:- Like many of us -- we are very anxiously awaiting the report. The House resumes May 30th -- they had their week off because of Victoria Day -- and the given deadline was May 31st. I am encouraged by one remark made by Dr. Pamela White: -- she was amazed at the number of letters I have received re diseases after I had submitted my Genetically Inherited Diseases submission to them. She said the committee members read it from cover to cover. If it takes diseases to get the census records released, so be it! More unknown and inheritable diseases still being posted. 3. Bottom line, Muriel, aren't these inherited diseases the most important reason to have census years available for researchers? No matter what the reason, census retention and accessability seems to be a closer goal than before. Kudos to all but most especially to you and Gordon Watts who have pushed this issue so relentlessly. George S.
