    1. Post-1901 Census -- A Terrific Number of Signatures
    2. Muriel M. Davidson
    3. To all:- A very large envelope from Nanaimo, BC with 66 signatures for the Senate of Canada was received today. -- Many, many thanks!!! I prefer not to give the name of the one sending the signatures to me -- unless it is a genealogical society. No e-mail address was received so if anyone knows the sender, please thank the person. Check in on the following site and download http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/ Petitions are available in three "flavours" -- Senate of Canada, House of Commons and Non-Resident. Gordon Watts receives the House of Commons petitions. I receive the Senate and Non-Resident -- so far the latter have the largest number -- also for the Senate of Canada. When mailing, save the LARGE envelopes for writing to our elected or appointed ones in Ottawa -- do not worry about folding petitions -- I have been known to flatten these with the well-known cement block!!! [Just a trick!] With the possibility of a new bill when Parliament resumes, we need all the signatures everyone can gather. Should anyone have signed previously, everyone may sign again as all previous petitions went into File 13 (the garbage) when Parliament was prorogued. Should anyone have questions, please ask me. Also this message may be forwarded -- has only been posted to the British Columbia and Census lists. Muriel M.
