Hi Wendy -- This bit of prose is very, very stirring -- the reasons we keep searching and hoping to find that one little link. I was in this situation, and believe it or not, was looking in a cemetery in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia -- found the graves of my gr.gr.gr.grandparents and from there, back to 1600, at least, it has been easy.
