    3. Many thanks, Sophiee McCooey, for the great site for researchers -- of Liverpool on the Mersey River, but in England!! The Liverpool I came from, also on the Mersey River, is in Queens County, Nova Scotia. The relationship does not end there!! James MacKenzie Davis, Liverpool, England, s.o. John Davis and Lady Jane MacKenzie, Scotland, married my gr.gr.grandmother Eliza Conrad from Blueberry, now West Berlin, near Liverpool, Nova Scotia. [Lady Jane will not even be found in DeBrett's Defunct Peerage - she married a commoner!] As John Davis owned a fleet of sailing vessels, I have wondered IF any of his ships carried British Home Children from Liverpool across to Canada. I have no record of the names of his vessels, but I understand he had about 10. Muriel M.
