Hi Betty: Was away again this past week so missed seeing this until last night. I belong to several message boards: NICHOL/NICOL, WHITTIER, ALBRIGHT, HIRD, etc. Usually get a post when something new is added and these are family names of interest to me. I also am on several lists particiating in this one most and contribute some to the Manitoba, Scots in Canada and Shetland lists. I think both lists and message boards are valuable. When first doing my ALBRECHT/ALBRIGHT family, joined the Quebec list. It was very helpful, but also very busy so unsubscribed once I got the information wanted. Still belong to the Simcoe list but opted to go digest mode. Miss Muriel Davidson, but the new administrator and group still offer lots of help. The trick to lists that are very busy is to only read the messages with subjects that are of interest or switch to digest mode. Have met cousins and made contacts on both lists and message boards.
