Am still looking for information on the children of Malcolm Johnston SMITH b. 1827 Shetland. Believe he and his wife Barbara YoungClaus emigrated to the U.S. about the start of the American Civil War. Very sketchy info on this family after the Civil War, but show his son James N. Smith living in Iowa with his wife Oneita in 1900 U.S. Census. Children listed are: Len J. Smith 10 yrs Bessie B. Smith 5 yrs Helen B. Smith 2 yrs Is anyone out there researching this SMITH family??
