Hello All -- I received as a gift a wonderful 2-part series on DVD, "On Eagle's Wings" by John Anderson which you might consider, one part being "The Documentary" and the othrr part, "The Stage Show." It tells the story of the Scots-Irish -- from their beginnings in the Lowlands of Scotland in the late 1600s, their flight from persecution by the English, their arrival in Ireland, their difficulties there, and their journey to America in the 1700s, where they became the pioneers who opened up the frontier. The Documentary is wonderful, but the Stage Show is particularly interesting because it traces their music & song from Scotland to Ireland to early America to modern-day America. Wonderful!
