I somehow missed this thread, would someone tell me about the Hatter's Guild. I have a very distant relative who was a hatter in Southwark Surrey and in London. Has anyone on this list searched out or is otherwise familiar with the family of the Abram Marsh Hatfield, born 1802 or so, and Mary Cook, born 1806? I am finding conflicting information regarding at least some of the 15 or so kids that they had. Their son Jones is my direct ancestor. I believe they came from the Tusket area and moved to Beverly Mass USA. For example they supposedly had two daughters, Dora Ann and Deborah A, about 10 years apart. There are listings that show Deborah marrying a Mr Wilson and then Jacob Hatfield but on Nova Scotia Ancestry I can find a marriage of Jacob to Dora Wilson. There is also some variation in the names posted.. Thanks in advance faye
