Hesse became the Western District; Lunenburg became the Eastern district; Mecklenburg became the Midland district and Nassau became the Home District. You can continue reading online to get the list of counties and townships that became part of each District (including the one you want - Eastern) It's probably a good idea to bookmark this page as you may need to know other Districts (and the counties/townships within each) as you research your Ontario ancestors further.
