Thanks Lorine As far as I know my family were all in Nova Scotia so I wasn't sure if and if yes where in those designations they would fit... I not too long ago learned how different areas became parts of different counties (i.e. part of Shelburne once being part of Queens) and also realized just how much I have to learn about both Canadian and US history!!! faye ---- Olive Tree Genealogy <[email protected]> wrote: > > > On 17 Oct 2008 at 10:07, Faye wrote: > > > What areas are considered "upper" Canada and "lower" > > Canada? thanks faye > > > Basically you can just remember that Upper Canada is now > Ontario. Hi Faye Nova Scotia was never part of UC and LC (upper Canada and Lower Canada) so your ancestors wouldn't fit there unless you found some reference to them being in those locations. It is a rather convoluted time in history and there were many name and boundary changes over the years :-) Lorine On 17 Oct 2008 at 10:30, Faye wrote: > Thanks Lorine > As far as I know my family were all in Nova Scotia so I > wasn't sure if and if yes where in those designations they > would fit...
