    3. http://www.raogk.com/ I just went to the above site for the RAOGK, and everything seems to be in order. Maybe it was down for maintenance or something but it seems fine now. Dunno why, and don't know who to ask. But it's off line. BUT, Huron Shores Gen Society does also do things for a small price. Their web site is: http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/iosco/3501hsgs.htm

    2. Gloria
    3. I checked out the timeline for Canada and noted that naturalization records began in 1828. Is there somewhere I can access those records? My Eager/Ager/Agar ancestors arrived in Canada from Vermont about 1832 and lived in Hastings Co., Ontario until around 1900 when my ggrandparents came to Nebraska (perhaps via New York). Thanks for your help. Gloria

    3. Ottawa, Ontario is in Carleton County. However, just to add to the confusion, at one time, (in the 1800's) Hull, Quebec was in Ottawa, County, Quebec. Around the turn of the century, Ottawa County Quebec was divided into Labelle & Wright Counties. 3. As the capital of Canada Ottawa is similar to Washington DC. For more information about the workings of the city see the following website <http://www.ottawa.ca/> A more general description may be found at<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottawa> References to Gatineau in this Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia piece are the same as references to HULL. Gatineau is the name of the amalgamated cities of Aylmer, Hull, Gatineau, Buckingham and Masson-Angers. There is a link to this historical fact in the Wikipedia article. To further confuse you and to add precision to your question about the county in which Ottawa is located consult the Wikipedia article at <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regional_Municipality_of_Ottawa-Carleton> which states that "The Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton was a regional government area and census division in Ontario, Canada which existed from 1969 until 2001. It was created in 1969 from the former Carleton County plus Cumberland Township, previously part of Russell County."
