Sorry, I probably should have mentioned that it is believed that he came from the Manchester, England area although was of Irish ancestry. The family is supposed to have gone from Ireland to England....stayed for a year or two (one child was born there) and then moved to Canada in the mid to late 1830's.......maybe! Thanks.
