I have looked at many on-line ships lists with no success in finding my ancestors. Noble J. Lawrence, my GGGrandfather immigrated to Ontario from Ireland with his parents and presumably his siblings about 1837. Noble would have been about 17 years old in 1837. His father's name was Joseph Lawrence. His mother's name is unknown. They initially settled in Little York. The Lawrence family is supposedly from Antrim. Noble married Mary Sarah Lyons, whose family was also from Ireland. The Lyons family immigrated to Ontario between 1830 - 1834. Mary's father was Joseph Lyons, married to Mary Gibson. Also part of the immigration was Mary Sarah's brother Joseph. The Lyons family was supposedly from the Dublin area, although Armagh has also been mentioned, and left Ireland via Newry. This is likely more information than required. But better more than not enough. Hopefully someone out there has the answers. Thanks Dennis Lawrence lawrend@shaw.ca
