Hi I have tried everything else to find y GGGrandfather WILLIAM H. BARNEY he was listed in the 1861 census Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario as a Dane, and seaman. I am at my wits end. Would anyone know how to get a seamans list before 1849. That is the year he is listed as marrying Julie C. Lefleur in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
