    3. Hello, I am trying to find a record of the ship my ggggggrandfather and mother arrived on from Ireland. It seems like a daunting task, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Timothy O'Sullivan was my gggggrandfather who emigrated from Ireland ( Berehaven, County Cork) to Portugeuse Cove, Nova Scotia in 1820. His wife Catherine came later with their two small children, Michael ( b 1815) and Catherine.(b. 1819). I understand that Timothy was granted land by the British for fighting in the Napolionic War. Could mean that he arrived on a British ship rather than Irish? I am thinking that he may have arrived one of the following ways? Ireland to Portugeuse Cove, NS Ireland to Halifax, NS Britain to Portugeuse Cove, NS Britain to Halifax, NS Dorothy Mullins ( nee Sullivan)
