Marriette T. (Desmarais-Boucher) Lessard HAVERHILL -- Marriette T. (Desmarais-Boucher) Lessard, 83, died Thursday at Merrimack Valley Hospital. She was a cafeteria cook for the City of Haverhill School Department at both Hunking School, where she was the head of the cafeteria program, and Haverhill High School from 1974 to 1995. She also worked in the cafeterias at Consentino School and St. Joseph Grammar School. Born in Montreal, Canada, Mrs. Lessard attended school in Canada and also attended St. Joseph Grammar School in Haverhill. She was a member of All Saints Parish and its Ladies of Ste. Anne Society and the former St. Joseph Parish, where she worked for many years as the rectory cook. She leaves her husband of 61 years Robert J. Lessard; daughters Jacqueline Woitkowski and her husband Lawrence and Suzanne Mazza and her fiance David Joubert, both of Haverhill, Claire Brunault of West Newbury and Jo-Ann DiBurro and her husband Henry of Atkinson, N.H.; brothers Andre Desmarais of Laval, Canada, and Herve Boucher of Northwood, N.H.; sisters Therese Desmarais of Ste. Hyacinthe, Canada, and Fleurette Boisclair of Laval; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to All Saints Parish Renovation Fund or All Saints Parish Food Pantry, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill, MA 01832. ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are tomorrow from 2 to 6 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Funeral services will be Monday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
