    3. PHILIP L. BARIL - Bristol 01:00 AM EST on Thursday, November 11, 2004 PHILIP L. BARIL, 77, of Broad Common Road, a former diner owner and employee of the Catholic Home, Fall River, died yesterday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Eileen M. (Costa) Baril. Born in Manchester, N.H., a son of the late Philippe Joseph and Roseanna St. Hiliare Baril, he had lived in Bristol for 55 years, previously living in Manchester for 22 years. Mr. Baril had owned and operated Libby's Diner, in Riverside, before he went to work at the Catholic Home, retiring in 1990. He retired from the Navy after serving for 20 years on various ships as a cook. Mr. Baril was a voting member of the Cup Defenders, and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He attended schools in Manchester. He leaves two sons, Philip Baril of Dover, N.H., and Peter Baril of Bristol; three daughters, Eileen Forshee of Warren, and Libby Baril-Smith and Lisa Baril-Micheletti, both of Bristol; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Pearl Paquin and Jeannette Dion. The funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. Mary Church, 330 Wood St. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
