    3. Gordon L. Bishop, HILLSBORO - Chief engineer at a paper mill for 25 years November 02. 2004 8:16AM H ILLSBORO -- Gordon L. Bishop, 76, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at home. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home, 32 School St., Hillsboro. Memorial services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Hillsboro. The Rev. Andre Thibodeau will officiate. Burial will follow at Harvey Memorial Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorial donations may be made to the Swift Water Girl Scout Council, 1 Commerce Drive, Bedford 03110; or to the Hillsboro Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 350, Hillsboro 03244. ~~~ He was born in Springfield, Mass., and lived in Bennington for 10 years before moving to Hillsboro 30 years ago. He was the son of the late Melvin M. and Catherine (Fleury) Bishop. He was a chief engineer for Monadnock Paper Mill in Bennington for 25 years before his retirement. He was a graduate of North Eastern College with a mechanical engineering degree. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Hillsboro and the Angus Lee Golf Course in Hillsboro. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Hall) Bishop of Hillsboro; three daughters, Laura J. and Todd Goodwin of Fitchburg, Mass., Julia A. Bishop of Cambridge, Mass., and Barbara E. Bishop of Hillsboro; a sister, Jean Izzo of Springfield, Mass.; a brother, David M. Bishop of West Springfield, Mass.; four grandsons, Adam Goodwin of Fitchburg, Mass., Imami Bishop of Cambridge, Mass., and Andrew Goodwin and Ethan Bishop, both of Hillsboro; a granddaughter, Caitlin Timpson of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
