    3. Saturday, November 6, 2004 Eleanor C. Nadeau 1917-2004 WATERVILLE -- Eleanor C. Nadeau, 87, of Winslow died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at Lakewood Manor Nursing Home. Eleanor was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Fairfield. The daughter of Eugene and Lillian (Sylvester) Foster Nadeau. In her high school days she was very athletic in basketball. Eleanor was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by her beloved cat, Babe. Eleanor was a founding member of the Sunshine Club of Winslow. She and her good friend June Plisga formed the club, starting with 13 members and growing to 47. Eleanor served as their treasurer. The Sunshine Club is for people who are visually impaired. She also spent 17 of her winters in St. Petersburg, Fla., with her husband, where she made many friends. She enjoyed talking to her local and KOA friends by telephone. Eleanor often told her grandchildren that they were her favorite pets. Eleanor was also a very prayerful lady, praying to St. Anthony and the Rosary. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Norman N. Nadeau, who died in 1994; one great-granddaughter Haley Elizabeth Berard; and two sisters, Thelma Lane and Kathleen Drovin Stevens. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ann Bolduc and her husband, Marvin R. Bolduc, of Winslow, and Betty J. Soule and her husband, Ronald D. Soule, also of Winslow; eight grandchildren, Jody LaChance of New Hampshire, Terry and Charles Mitchell of Winslow, Tim Bolduc of Winslow, Wendy and John Santos of New Hampshire, Capt. Jeffery and Rebecca Bolduc of North Carolina, Stephen and Sheryl Soule of North Carolina, Shelly and James Frost of New Hampshire and Sherry and Ronnie Berard of Winslow. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Heather LaChance, Joshua, Kaitlyn and Lindsay Mitchell, Dylan Clay Bolduc, Matthew and Gregory Bolduc, Stephanie, Danielle, Emily, Kendall and Rhett Soule, Trevor and Shawnna Leigh Frost, Adam and Alex Berard. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Winslow with the Rev. Apolinary Kavishe officiating. Burial will be at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in Eleanor's name to The Sunshine Club, c/o Diane Charland, Taconnet Federal Credit Union 60 Benton Ave., Winslow, or the Humane Society Waterville Area, 120 Drummond Ave., Waterville, or The Ronald McDonald House of Portland.
