    3. BERNARD V. LAFRENIERE - North Kingstown 01:00 AM EST on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 BERNARD V. LAFRENIERE, 83, of Tower Hill Road, a retired painter, died Monday at the South County Nursing and Subacute Center, in North Kingstown. He was the husband of Sophie L. (Haduk) Lafreniere. Born in North Kingstown, a son of the late Hector and Mary (Moon) Lafreniere, he had lived in the town all his life. Mr. Lafreniere had been a painter with the Paul Arnold Co. for 38 years before retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Lafreniere was a communicant and collector at St. Bernard Church. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Bernard J. and Charles H. Lafreniere, a daughter, Donna M. Lafreniere, a brother, John Lafreniere, and a sister, Alice Masi, all of North Kingstown; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Joseph Lafreniere, Rita Haduk, Emma Albee and Mary Hassell. The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. from the Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, 140 West Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Bernard Church, 410 Tower Hill Rd. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Tower Hill Road, Saunderstown.
