Barbara E. Butterfield, Concord - Loved the Red Sox and her grandchildren November 04. 2004 9:32AM Barbara E. Butterfield, 68, of Concord, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Concord Hospital. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 12 Old West Hopkinton Road, Henniker. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Giving Program, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 Route 101, Unit 8, Bedford 03110-5032. Bennett Funeral Home in Concord is in charge of the arrangements. ~~~ She was born in Stoneham, Mass., the daughter of Medord and Florence (AuCoin) Gerrior. Barbara worked as a secretary for John Hancock Insurance. She also worked as a hostess for Dunkin Donuts in Concord for more than 20 years. She was a dedicated local sports fan and was an avid Red Sox fan. Barbara loved gardening and enjoyed frequent walks around Concord. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord and also attended St. John's Church in Concord. She was also a member of the Centennial Senior Center of Concord and was a member of the Concord Hospital Pulmonary Rehab Group. Barbara loved being with her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting relatives in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by a brother, William Gerrior, in 1995; and one sister, Carol Marshall, in 1995. She is survived by three sons, Michael Butterfield of Lee, Daniel Butterfield of Temecula, Calif., and Richard Butterfield of Methuen, Mass.; two daughters, Deborah Ouimette of Candia and Kelly Lewis of Hopkinton; a brother, Richard Gerrior of Wakefield, Mass., 13 beloved grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
