ROSINA "ROSE" A. (LOISELLE) HUGHES - Lincoln 01:00 AM EST on Friday, November 12, 2004 ROSINA "ROSE" A. (LOISELLE) HUGHES, 101, formerly of Portland Street, Manville, a retired winder, died Wednesday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Leo Hughes. Born in Manville on June 23, 1903, she was a daughter of the late Alexandre and Luella (Martin) Loiselle. Mrs. Hughes had been a winder at the former Handy Mill, in Manville, for many years before retiring in 1970. She attended St. James Church and was a member of its Union of Prayer. She was a former member of the Golden Agers of Manville and Albion. She leaves her caregivers, a niece and nephew, Suzanne and Roger Fontaine, both of Woonsocket; a sister, Blanche Desjardins in Florida; and several other nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a sister of the late Arthur Loiselle. The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from Menard's Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. James Church, 33 Division St., Manville. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
