Shirley M. Doucette Shirley M. Doucette 1921 - 2004 WESTFIELD - Shirley M. (Ridgway) Doucette, 83, of Westfield, died Friday, October 29, 2004 at a local nursing home. She was born May 3, 1921 in Westfield, daughter of the late George H. and Vinetta (Brissette) Ridgway. Shirley worked in the Housekeeping Dept. at Noble Hospital for twenty years retiring in 1986, and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Westfield. She was an avid card player and enjoyed traveling. Shirley was a member of the Westfield Historical Society and the Friends of Grandmothers Garden. She was the widow of Peter P. Kuta, who died in 1945, in France, during WWII. Her second husband, Albert E. Doucette died in 1990. Shirley leaves her children, Thomas E. Doucette and Paula A. Patterson, both of Westfield. She also leaves a sister, Muriel Gay of Westfield; a brother, Harry Ridgway of Agawam; and a granddaughter, Charity DeRock of West Springfield. The Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield, followed by a liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church in Westfield at 10:30 am, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
