CLARENCE "JERRY" FUGERE - Cumberland 01:00 AM EST on Monday, November 22, 2004 CLARENCE "JERRY" FUGERE, 79, of Mendon Road, a retired manufacturing supervisor, died yesterday in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Evelyn (Dorn) Fugere. They had been married for 58 years. Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Joseph and Ida (Gagnon) Fugere, he had lived in Cumberland for 21 years. After he retired, he lived part of the time in Mission, Texas. Mr. Fugere was a supervisor at Electric Boat, retiring in 1987. Previously he had been a welding supervisor for the Mossberg-Hubbard Co. for 25 years. Mr. Fugere was Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. He was a member of the Jessie Roamers Motorcycle Club, in Pawtucket, for many years. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Robert Fugere of North Smithfield and Wayne Fugere of Rogers, Ariz.; two daughters, Darlene Reilly of Cumberland and Karen Fugere of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; two brothers, Normand Fugere of Lincoln and Noel Fugere of Wilmington, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from J.J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Rd., Route 122, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Ambrose Church, School Street, Lincoln. A committal service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel.
