    3. Saturday, November 20, 2004 Simone Lessard 1924-2004 WINSLOW -- Simone Lessard, 80, of Clinton Avenue, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 18, 2004, after a long illness. She was born in Winslow on Aug. 28, 1924, the daughter of William and Clara (Paradis) LaFlamme. She attended St. John's School, Mount Merici Academy, and was a Winslow High School graduate with the class of 1942. She married Reginald Lessard on June 28, 1947, and was devoted to her family. She was one of the first members of St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow. Mrs. Lessard was a role model to her family and friends through her strong faith and courage. She is survived by her husband, Reginald Lessard, of Winslow; a son, Paul Lessard, and wife, Anne, of Winslow; three grandchildren, Sara Poulin of Winslow, Paul Lessard Jr. and fiancZe, Rachel Hadsell, of Waterville, and Amanda Lessard of Winslow; a great-grandson, Logan Poulin, of Winslow; a nephew, William LaFlamme, of Concord, N.H.; sisters-in-law, Gladys Shorty and husband, Luke, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Rose Lessard of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother-in-law, Francis Lessard, of Skowhegan; and by several nieces, nephews and friends who loved her. She was predeceased by her parents; her stepfather, Vital Quirion; brother Rosaire LaFlamme; and by her dear friend, Rita Giguere. There will be no hours of visitation. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville with the Rev. Philip Tracy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 47 Monument St., Winslow, ME 04901.
