Adeline M. LeDuc - (Duluth News Tribune) Adeline M. LeDuc, 73, of Hibbing, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Adeline was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Chisholm, Minn., to John and Nathalie Wegener. She graduated from Chisholm High School in 1951. Adeline married Francis LeDuc on June 15, 1974. Unfortunately, she lost Fran to a massive heart attack on July 4, 1977. After Fran's death, Adeline was employed as a lift truck driver. She was a long time member at the Church of Christ in Hibbing, Hibbing Community Senior Citizen's, Tourist Senior Citizen's, and a supporter of Animal Allies. Adeline loved to crochet beautiful afghans, and enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. Her passion was to go to rummage sales and spend time with her pets. Adeline had a heart for serving others and spent many volunteer hours in her community. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frances; and dear friend, Arnold Gist. She is survived by her two brothers, John (Lynn) Wegener of Sun Lake, Ariz., and Dennis (Judy) Wegener of Iron; close loving friend, LouAnn (Gene) Rands of Cotton; grandchildren, Amy Kyte and Chris (Rebecca) Rands; grand grandchildren, Sam and Addison Kyte and Lily Ann Rands; dear friend, Donald Saline of Duluth; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; the Gist family; and a host of friends. VISITATION:1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in Hibbing. LeRoy Murphy will officiate at the service. Interment will take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Adeline has requested memorials be preferred to the Animal Allies, 1097 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
