Josephte Parent > Louis + Marguerite Tessier > Jean + Marie Piton Edmonton Journal Obituaries (04/11/05) ROMANKO, Willis July 19, 1938 - April 9, 2005 It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of Willis Romanko after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer at 66 years of age. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Laurette (Bergevin); his devoted daughter, Leah (Rick Palamaruk); granddaughters, Kristen and Elise. Laurette's children, Shellie (Trevor Gruninger) of Drayton Valley, and Arbie (Vicky) Gamblin of St. Paul; grandchildren, Tyson and Trey Gruninger, Andriana and Nicholas Gamblin. His sister, Eleanor (Dale Anderson); niece, Tamara (Jason Assen) and their children, Kennedy and Jakob, of Calgary; nephew Scott (Johanna) Anderson and their son, Oliver of Melbourne, Australia; and numerous relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Metro and Jean; and sister, Caroline. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Richard Fedorak, Dr. Ronald J. Brisebois, Dr. David Biggam, Dr. Andrew Scarfe and Dr. Peter Twiss. They would also like to acknowledge the excellent care given by the Palliative Home Care Team and the caregivers at Norwood Palliative Unit.
