ALTONA Beatrice M. Rabideau, 87, of Alder Bend Road, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Altona on Nov. 11, 1919, the daughter of Joseph and Leah (Recore) Therrian. Beatrice had worked at the Clinton County Nursing Home, the Cumberland Hotel and later for Auxiliary Service for Plattsburgh State University College. Beatrice enjoyed playing the game Aggravation and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Rockside Senior Citizens and Holy Angels Church in Altona. Beatrice was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Leah Therrian; her husband, John Rabideau; and 17 siblings. She is survived by a son, Carlton Rabideau and his wife, Pauline, of Ellenburg Depot; three daughters, Shirley Matton of Plattsburgh, Jean Truax and her husband, William, of Litchfield, Conn., and Beverly Peryer of West Chazy; a sister, Genevieve Miller and her husband, Hector, of Plattsburgh; 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and three special aides, Lori Martin, April Brown and Tonya Forrette. Calling hours will be today, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road, Altona. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Holy Angels Church in Altona. Burial will follow in the family plot at Holy Angels Cemetery.
