    2. GLENVILLE — Wilfred J. Giroux, 62, of Scotia, passed away at home on Sunday, November 19, 2006, after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of Isabelle Sherman and the late Clement Giroux. Wilford was a lifelong area resident. He was a building contractor at Giroux Building Group where he was president and CEO. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1963 to 1967, with the rank of A1C E- 4 at the time of discharge. Mr. Giroux was a member of the U.S. Power Squadron, Schenectady Yacht Club, various professional organizations and enjoyed boating and spending time outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Dianne R. Comstock of Scotia; stepdaughter-in-law, Kristie Comstock; daughter, Tracey Giroux; son, James Giroux of Scotia; stepsons, Ronald, Bradley and Glenn Comstock; mother, Isabelle Sherman of Elizabethtown, N.Y.; sister, Barbara Fraley of North Carolina; brother, Fred Giroux of Niskayuna; and two grandchildren. In addition to his father, Clement Giroux, Wilford was predeceased by his brother, David Giroux. Calling hours were held Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville. Memorial services were Friday, Nov. 24, at 11 a.m. from Glenville Funeral Home. Interment at Gerald BH Solomon National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Ellis Hospital Foundation, with dedication to the A-6 nursing unit. LaDuke, 74, formerly of Standish, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at her daughter's residence in North Hero, Vt. She was born in Standish on June 2l, 1932, the daughter of Lucius and Stella (Macey) Lashway. She enjoyed cooking, canning, bingo and puzzles. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Elaine LaDuke of Warren, Ill.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and David Hoyt of North Hero, Vt., Darlene and Stephen McLaughlin of Bayville, N.Y., and Tammy and James Gauthier of Buffalo; a sister, Betty King of Standish; several half brothers and sisters; five grandchildren, Rebekka, Jason, Jennifer, Nichole and Corey; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Raymond L. LaDuke died on June 16, 1999. Five brothers, Roswell, Maynard, Edward, Elmer and Bernard Lashway and two sisters, Eleanor Miller and Anna Dubray, also died earlier. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lyon Mountain Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday from St. Bernard's Church in Lyon Mountain. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Martin, 56, of Grove Street, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at his home. He was born in Plattsburgh April 4, 1950, the son of the late Donald A. and Grace E. (Besaw) Martin. David graduated from AuSable Valley Central School. He married Monica N. Giguere, Sept. 7, 1968, at St. Augustine's Church in Peru. She predeceased him, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003. He was employed for many years at Rosebud Creamery in Plattsburgh. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Deron David and Monique Martin of Plattsburgh; one daughter, Melissa Martin and her partner Angel LaBounty of Plattsburgh; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Barbara Martin of Plattsburgh and Tim and Tammy Martin of Plattsburgh; two grandchildren, Shantelle and Dylan Martin; and several nieces and nephews. At David's request there will be no calling hours or services. Donations in David's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are by the Hamilton Funeral Home in Peru.
