THE REPUBLICAN Springfield, MA. 29 Aug. 2007 Jeffrey Robert Boisselle 1981-2007 MARBLEHEAD, MASS. - Jeffrey Robert (Jeff) Boisselle, 26, of Marble-head passed away at home Sunday, August 26th, 2007. He was the loving husband of Sarah (Schweinler) Boisselle. He is survived by his mother Patty (Kennedy) Dillon and her husband James and his father Robert Boisselle and his wife Lenette. Jeffrey was born and raised in Keene, NH. He attended the Hyde School in Bath, ME and graduated from Hyde School in Woodstock, CT. Jeff also attended Springfield College in Springfield, MA. He was great at sports, playing Little League baseball then Lacrosse and Soccer during High School. He was a talented singer and was active in musicals in high school. Jeff loved the ocean, going to the beach and sailing, which he did in the Marblehead area, as well as in Bermuda. He was also an avid golfer, hitting the links whenever possible. He was also a huge Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He worked in Construction for Excel Building Systems Needham, MA. Jeff made friends easily and once he was your friend he was your friend for life. He had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. He is also survived by his sister, Stacey Chandler and her husband Jeff and their children Lindsey and Emily, two aunts Nancy Plante and her husband Thomas, and Claire DiSanto and her husband Joseph, and their children Anthony, Christoper, Angela and Nicole, two uncles Shawn Kennedy and his son Kevin Lincoln, and Edward Boisselle and his wife Linda, and his cousins, Melissa and Amanda Boisselle. His stepsister Kristen Morelli, her husband Julian and daughter, Anna, stepbrother Jamie Dillon, his wife Lisa and daughter Emma. Two aunts in Florida, Kim Thompson, her husband, Bob and their son Eric and Janine Newton and her children Tabitha and Tiffany. Jeffrey is survived by his grandparents Raymond C. and Joan Kennedy of Anthony, FL. He was predeceased by his grandparents Arcade and Helen Boisselle and his grandmother Dorothy Kennedy and his uncle Raymond A. Kennedy. He is also survived by his great aunts and uncles, Doris and Alvin Raney and their children and Jim and Joan Fleming and their children. A Service will be held at First Lutheran Church of Boston, 299 Berkeley St., Boston, Ma, at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 31st. Interment will follow at Waterside Cemetery Marblehead, Ma. He was born in Chester and grew up in Middlefield. He attended local schools and was a 2004 graduate of Gateway Regional High School where he was a member of the Cross Country and Wrestling teams. Jeremy attended Pioneer Valley Assembly of God Church where he was a member of the worship team. After high school, Jeremy completed Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He went on to graduate from both Infantry School and Airborne School. Jeremy was in the 2-35 HHC Reconnaissance Scouts Platoon, 25th Infantry Division, "Tropical Lightning," based in Hawaii. Among other awards he received the Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, the Parachutist Badge or "Jump Wings", and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. Jeremy leaves his wife Mandy (Burgess) Bouffard, formerly of Huntington, his son Caleb Matthew, his parents Stephen and Paula Bouffard of Middlefield, his sisters: Maegan Davis of Northampton, Molly Bouffard of Great Barrington and Therese Bouffard of Middlefield. He also leaves his maternal grandparents Douglas and Catherine Woodburn of Brewster, MA, his paternal grandmother Theresa Bouffard of Princeton, MA, his mother-in-law Mary Caron of Chester and his father-in-law Mark Burgess of Fairhaven, MA. In addition, he leaves many dear aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends including Caleb's godfather, Matthew Anderson of Chester. The funeral services for Jeremy will be held on Friday August 31st at 1 pm at Bethany Assembly of God Church, 580 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Burke 1923-2007 LUDLOW, MASS. - Lorraine G. (Gaudreau) Burke 84 of Lillian St. Ludlow died Monday August 27, 2007 in a Wilbraham nursing home. Born in the Indian Orchard neighborhood of Springfield, MA on January 18, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Armand E. and Helen (Fontaine) Gaudreau. Lorraine had worked for many years as a machine operator of US Envelope, now known as Westvaco. She was the widow of Edward R. Burke who died in 1984. Lorraine truly loved her family and being with them. She is survived by her beloved sister and brother Eleanor B. Henriques with whom she lived in Ludlow and Raymond P. Gaudreau of East Dennis, MA She was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews, and the loving great aunt of 4 grand nieces and 3 grand nephews. (Mongeon) Dunbar, 86, a lifelong resident, died August 26, 2007 in Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, ME. Born in Warren, MA on May 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Adell (Dirigon) Mongeon. Ruth was a communicant of St. Paul's Church and a member of the Catholic Women's Club. She was predeceased by her husband John Dunbar in 1995. Ruth is survived by a daughter Rachel Dubois and her husband Russell of Temple, ME, two grandchildren Daniel of Huntington, PA and Matthew of Northfield, NH. A Mass of Christian liturgy will be held on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Gladu 1930 - 2007 CHICOPEE, MASS. - Gerard L. "Jerry" Gladu, 76, died Tuesday August 28, 2007, at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Chicopee on December 17, 1930, to the late Wilfred and Charlotte (Mazerolle) Gladu. Mr. Gladu attended schools in Holyoke and was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Chicopee. Jerry proudly served our country as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Monsanto after thirty-two years of service, where he proudly served as a Union Steward. He loved cruising, camping and being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. To those who knew and loved him his name was "Papa". Mr. Gladu was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Joan (Riopelle) Gladu on July 18, 1999. He will be sadly missed by two sons; Marshall E. Riopelle of New York and Robert T. Riopelle and his wife Angela of Agawam, four daughters; Linda "Chris" Fitzgerald and her husband Steven, Roxanne Fredette and her husband Larry, Jo-Ann "Jody" Olech and her husband Jack, Kim Larson and her husband Ted, all of Chicopee, one sister; Gloria Furr of Holyoke, twenty two grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was also pre-deceased by four brothers; Francis, Frederick, Joseph and Leonard, one sister Beatrice and one granddaughter Briana Riopelle. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Dr. Wilson Mertens, the D'Amour Cancer Center and the Baystate Medical Center NOR unit staff. A funeral procession will form on Friday August 31 at 9:00 A.M. at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. "Bill" Guerin, 66, of Wilbraham died Tuesday morning August 28, 2007 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family. Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ligia P. (Delgadillo) Guerin, a daughter, Melissa L. Escajadillo and her husband Gonzalo of Buenos Aires, Argentina, two sons, William R. Guerin and his wife Kara of Long Island, NY and John J. Guerin of Wilbraham, MA; seven grandchildren, Mila, Cristina, and Gonzalo Escajadillo, and Kayla, Grace, Liam, and Lexi Guerin. He is also survived by a brother, John (Father Peter, O.S.B.), of Saint Anselm Abbey, Manchester, NH; three sisters, Sister Ellen M. Guerin, R.S.M. with the Sisters of Mercy in Worcester, MA, Marjorie C. Guerin of Danbury, CT, and Claire J. Bouchard and her husband Eugene of Leicester, MA; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Worcester on March 1, 1941 a son of the late John J. and Ellen V. (Buda) Guerin. He was raised in Worcester and graduated from Assumption Prep in 1959 and received his Bachelor's degree in Economics in from Saint Anselm College in 1963. Following his graduation Bill served in the Catholic Extension Volunteers for U.S. Home Missions at the University of Mississippi Newman Center at the height of the civil rights movement. He entered the investment industry in 1966 with Kidder Peabody, serving as branch manager for 35 years, including 20 years as senior vice president and resident manager of the UBS offices in Springfield, MA and Hartford, CT. His achievements in business were recognized with Paine Weber's Ed Connolly Leadership Award. A strong supporter and benefactor of Catholic higher education, he served on the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Saint Anselm College, which awarded him an honorary doctor of laws degree in 2005. He also served as a trustee and was appointed the first lay chairman of the Board of Trustees in the history of Anna Maria College Paxton, MA, which awarded him an honorary doctor of laws degree in 1995. He served as a trustee and chairman of the Board of Trustees of Wilbraham and Monson Academy. He served on the Board of Directors of the Springfield Boy's Club and was honored with its Golden Boy, Uncle Ed Allis, and Robert B. Cowles Memorial Awards. His many philanthropic activities included service as a trustee of Mercy Hospital, Downey Side, and chairman of the Mary Collins Moynahan Foundation. He also served on the Investments Committee of the Diocese of Springfield. He was a member of the Knights of Malta and was a active communicant of St. Cecilia's Church, Wilbraham, MA. Friends are asked to meet on Friday morning August 31st 2007 at St. Cecilia's Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham to celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial for Bill at 11:00 a.m. Burial is private in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester, MA. Visiting hours are Thursday August 30th 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield.
