Jim was born in Holyoke on January 7, 1955 the son of Mary F. (Gero) Blanchette and the late Armand Blanchette. Jim was a graduate of Deerfield Academy and the University of Vermont. He was an account manager for Bristlecone Inc. in Milpitas, CA. Jim was a 24 year resident of Wilbraham and a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church. He is survived by his wife of 24 years JoAnn (Grady) Blanchette; his mother, Mary F. (Gero) Blanchette of Enfield, CT and formerly of Holyoke; a sister, Denise Thompson of Enfield, CT; four sister-in-laws, Marie Doherty and her husband Jim of Mount Pleasant, SC, Kathy St. Germain and her husband Ron of Harpers Ferry, West VA, Teresa Lemieux and her husband Lou of Duxbury, MA, and Ellen Grady and her husband Chris Rathbun of Kingston, MA; a brother-in-law, Joseph Grady and his wife Heather of Duxbury, MA; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved companions his Labrador retriever Zoe and his golden retriever Lilly. Jim's funeral will be Saturday morning August 11, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 42 Main Street, Wilbraham. (Lyons) Bousquet 1927-2007 SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - Lillian Rita (Lyons) Bousquet, 79, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday August 7th at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Bronx, NY she was a longtime Springfield resident. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert J. Bousquet in 1997. Lillian was an officer of the Pine Point Community Council of Springfield and active member of the Springfield Golden Age Club. She was a member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Mary's Church in East Springfield and received her spiritual inspiration from Mother Theresa and Padre Pio. She is survived by her six children, Allen Bousquet and his wife Nancy of Ludlow, Cynthia Bousquet of Chicopee, Karen Bannish and her husband Mitch of Westfield, Scott Bousquet and his wife Lori of Holland, MA, Kathy Flagg and her husband Bob of Palmer and Christine Gardner of Sturbridge, MA; her two brothers, Lenny Lyons and his wife Diana of West Springfield and Larry Lyons and his wife Maryann of Ludlow; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; her first cousin, Tom Hatfield and his wife Claire of Springfield and good friends, Dianne Limoges of Chicopee, Marcey Foisey of Springfield, Bob Sealander of Chicopee, Peggy Guzzo of East Longmeadow, her travel companion, Betty Hervieux and card playing friends. Delisle 1925 - 2007 CHICOPEE, MASS. - Roland R. Delisle, 81, of White Birch Ave. died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at home with his family. He was born in Springfield. He was the son of the late Bertie and Rose (Boudreau) Delisle. He graduated from Holyoke Trade. He was a communicant of St. Anne 's Church in Chicopee.Roland worked for the Philip Hano Co. for twenty-two years as a foreman and also worked at Hampden Paper. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He received the World War II Victory Medal, American Area Ribbon, and Artistic Pacific Ribbon. Roland was a member of the Buffalo Athletic and Social Club and the Chicopee Elks. He also was an avid Red Sox fan. Roland is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Edna (Varley) Delisle, his children, Gary Delisle of Springfield, Barbara Delisle, Richard Delisle, and Daniel Delisle and his wife Lois all of Chicopee, and Susan Gilpatrick of Granby, his brother James Moran of Wells, Maine. Also survived by his 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was born in Holyoke on February 23, 1923, a son of the late George and Eva (Piquette) Goyette. He attended local schools and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and received his High School Diploma from Chicopee High School in 2000 for his military service. He was previously employed at the former Gilbert and Baker Co. He was the former owner of Bob's Camera and Hobby Shop in Aldenville from 1949 until 1971. He was also a licensed private pilot and aerial photographer. He is survived by his wife of forty two years, Vera E. (Day) Goyette, one son Douglas R. and his wife Donna of Holliston, one daughter, Karen A. Goyette of Chicopee. He also leaves one brother, Ulysses "Raymond" Goyette of Chicopee and two sisters, Jeanne Wells of Enfield, CT, and Estelle Walunas of Easthampton. He will be sadly missed by two grandsons, Daniel and Benjamin Goyette. (Lajoie) Lindsay, 86, of the Canterbury Arms Apartments in the Chicopee Falls section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Monday, August 6, 2007. She was born in Holyoke on July 17, 1921, a beloved daughter of the late Joseph N. A. and Aldina (Masse) Lajoie. She was raised in Granby and graduated from South Hadley High School. She moved to Chicopee Falls in 1954 and in 1990, she moved to the Canterbury Arms Apartments. She previously worked for the Pall Blade Company in Holyoke during World War II and later worked at the former Forbes & Wallace Department Store on Memorial Drive in Chicopee and the former Ren Electronics and the TRW Electronics, both in the Fairview section of Chicopee. She last worked at the former Burger King Restaurant on Memorial Drive in Chicopee Falls before retiring in 1995. She was a communicant of Saint Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville. She was a longtime volunteer for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Chicopee. She knitted hundreds of hats each year for the underprivileged children and last year, she received their Presidential Award for her many years of service. Her beloved husband, Janvier W. "Doc" Lindsay, Jr. was Called Home on December 10, 1972. She leaves her loving sons, Janvier W. Lindsay, III and his wife Kimberly of Pittsfield and Donald J. Lindsay and his wife Christine of Chicopee. Her cherished granddaughter, Elizabeth A. Lindsay of Chicopee. Her dear brother, Joseph Lajoie and his wife Cecile of Granby. Her dear brother-in-law, George Dugre of Chicopee. Her dear nephews and nieces, Michael Lajoie and his wife Karen, James Lajoie and his wife Missy, Gerald Dugre and his wife Linda and Doris Desilet and her husband Roger, all of Chicopee and Theresa Lajoie of Granby. Born July 28, 1923, in Holyoke, MA, the son of the late Eugene and Bertha (Bushey) Major. He attended Springfield schools, graduating from the former Springfield Trade High School. After graduating, Paul worked at the Springfield News in the graphic arts department, then for Eastern Etching also in the graphics department as well as various other industries. Paul served in the US Army Air Corps Cadets during WWII. In 1957 he founded Industrial Etching, Inc. and later Northeast Screen Graphics. He leaves his wife Marion (Naples) Major; his son, Dan Major and his partner Anne Ouimette of Westfield; his daughter April Rimpo and her husband Chas of Dayton, MD; and his grandson Jeremy Rimpo also of Dayton. He also leaves his brother Dolor Major of Monson; four sisters, Louise Roberts of Belchertown, Alice Carpenter and her husband Al of Monroe, VA, Loretta Ballard of Rohnert Park, CA, and Theresa O'Malley of Springfield. Paul was predeceased by two brothers, Nelson and Eugene Major. There are no calling hours.
