    3. THE REPUBLICAN Springfield, MA. 13 August 2007 Leonel H. Gosselin 1923 - 2007 SOUTH PORTLAND, ME- Leonel H. Gosselin, age 84, passed away on Aug 8, 2007 in South Portland. He was born on May 31, 1923 in Chicopee, MA. His parents were the late Hermas and Blanche (Buteau) Gosselin. He was a communicate of Sacred Heart Church in Portland, ME and was a former communicant of Assumption Church in Chicopee. He was a WWII Veteran serving from 1943 to1946 in the Navy where he achieved the rank of Machinist Mate Third Class. He worked as a Postal Clerk for the U.S. postal service for 35 years before retiring in 1986. He is predeceased by three sisters Pauline Rittberg, Mona Rittberg and Gertrude Lavalley and one brother, Gaston Gosselin. He leaves one brother Paul Gosselin of South Carolina; three sisters Theresa and her husband Raymond Marceau of Hallandale, FL, Marguerite and her husband Marcel Demers of North Dartmouth, MA and SR. Jacqueline Gosselin of Joliet Canada; two close cousins Evelyn Brissette of Portland, ME and Marilyn Binette of Auburn, ME and their families and also many nieces and nephews. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday Aug. 15, 2007 at 9:00 A.M. from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St Chicopee, MA 01013 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Assumption Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St Rose de Lima Cemetery in Aldenville. Visiting Hours will be held on Aug. 14, 2007 form 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Grise Funeral Home. Lebel 1925 2007 CHICOPEE, MASS. - Raymond R. Lebel, 82, of the Doverbrook Estates in Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Thursday, August 8, 2007. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on June 5, 1925, a beloved son of the late Philip and Yvonne (Boucher) Lebel. He moved to the Willi-mansett Heights section of Chicopee in 1961 and lived there until he moved to Doverbrook Estates in Chicopee in 2003. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II with Squadron G of the 3505th Army Air Force Base Unit and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was employed for 38 years and retired in 1985 as a Superintendent for the Continental Baking Company Wonder Bread in Holyoke. He was a member of the Chicopee Lodge of Elks 1849, a member of the Willimansett Heights Improvement League and a member of the American Legion in Boston. Raymond had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. He leaves his beloved wife, Eileen M. (Bunting) Lebel. They were married at Saint Anne Church in Lawrence on May 3, 1947 and were blessed with over 60 years of happiness together. He also leaves his loving sons, Rick Lebel of New Britain, CT and Brian J. Lebel of Scottsdale, AZ. His three cherished grandchildren, Melissa Lebel of New Britain, CT, Jeremy Lebel of West Haven, CT and Tara Legler and her husband Shane of Seaside, CA. His five cherished great grandchildren, Tayln, Lorien, Ellanyn, Ian and Rynn Legler. His dear brothers and sisters, Raoul Lebel and his wife Monique of Portsmouth, NH, Roger Lebel and his wife Lorraine of Kentucky, Lucille Lacroix and her husband Maurice of Methuen and Rita Moreau and her husband Roland of Portsmouth, NH. His dear brother-in-law, Edmond Gendron of Methuen and many dear nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Carmen Gendron. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Committal with Military Honors on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street in Agawam. There are no visiting hours. His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the St. Pierre Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street in Chicopee.
