THE REPUBLICAN Springfield, MA 10 May 2007 Mary Claire Trask 1923 - 2007 AGAWAM, MASS. - Mary Claire (Tetreault) Trask, 84, of Agawam, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the Heritage Hall-East Nursing Home in Agawam. She was born on March 4, 1923 in Springfield, MA, and was the daughter of the late Theodore O. and Gratia (Gamache) Tetreault. She was predeceased by her brothers: Roland Tetreault, Phillipe Tetreault, & Maurice Tetreault, and by her sister Paulette Tetreault O'Donovan. Mary is survived by her sisters-in-law Margaret Tetreault and Annie Tetreault. Her beloved husband Robert L. Trask predeceased her on March 19, 2007. Her life was devoted to the love of children. Over many years she devotedly cared for many foster children. Her work at the Agawam Flower Shop allowed her to continue her daily activity of engaging many with her pleasant smile. She leaves her beloved children Carol A. (Trask) Shuman, Robert B. Trask and his wife Donna L. Trask, and Joan C. Shuman and her husband Philip W. Shuman. She also leaves five grandchildren and their spouses: Wendy Lee Collins and her husband Daniel, Robert W. Trask and his wife Erin, Angela M. Grout and her husband, Gary, Christopher B. Shuman and his wife Kellye, and Philip J. Shuman and his wife Darcy Leigh. She was also blessed with and greatly loved her eight great-grandchildren: Cameron, Casey, Liam, Sienna, Michael, Abigail, Brandon and Maggie Katherine who will always love their Grand-Memere. The family would like to thank the nursing home staff for their care and compassion during her stay. Funeral services are Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. from the Colonial-Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, Feeding Hills at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday morning prior to the funeral. Contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 34 Lower Westfield Rd., Holyoke, MA 01040.
