THE REPUBLICAN Springfield, MA 9 May 2007 Doris B. Anderson 1913-2007 FRAMINGHAM, MASS. - Doris-Lena (Benoit) Anderson, 93, wife of Gunnard E. Anderson, formerly of Indian Orchard, passed away on Monday May 7, 2007 at the home of her son Victor and daughter-in-law Ellen, with whom she made her home in Framingham. Born in Indian Orchard she was the daughter of the late Alme and Elizabeth (Deragon) Benoit. A resident of Indian Orchard for many years, she resided in Framingham for the past (5) years. Doris was a retired sewer for the former Hodges Carpet of Indian Orchard. She was also a sales clerk for the former Kitchners of Indian Orchard and the former Forbes & Wallace of Springfield. She was a (30) year poll worker at the John F. Kennedy Junior High School and at the former Myrtle Street School of Indian Orchard. She was a communicant of St. Jude Church of Indian Orchard (formerly St. Aloysius Church) and was a member of the former Ladies of St. Anne and Holy Name Societies of St. Aloysius Church. She was a member of the Indian Orchard Womens Club; the Union of St. Jean Baptiste; a member and secretary of the St. Ursule Council #291; the Western Mass Genealogical Society and the Canadian Genealogical Society, Montreal, Canada. Doris is survived by a son, Victor E. Anderson and his wife, Ellen Woodberry of Framingham and (2) granddaughters, Elizabeth & Victoria. She was predeceased by her husband, Gunnard E. Anderson in 1995. The funeral will be Friday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
