She was the widow of Alfred R. Christian. Cecile is survived by a daughter, Carol Quinn of Holyoke, two grandchildren, Sandra Fogarty and her husband John, and Robert Quinn and five great-grandchildren. All services are private. Barry J. (Lessard) Guertin 1920-2007 INDIAN ORCHARD, MASS. - Rita-Valerie (Lessard) Guertin, 87, formerly of Water St., passed away Monday, August 13, at a local nursing home. Born in Springfield to the late Amedee and Exilda (Aubrey) Lessard, she resided in Indian Orchard most of her life. Rita was the beloved wife of the late Philip T. Guertin who passed away in 1970 and was predeceased by her brothers, George and Leo Lessard and her sister, Claire Weir. She was a filing clerk for several years at the Visiting Nurse Association in Springfield and prior to that she worked for Alamac Knitting Mills, and the Nixon Co., both in Indian Orchard, and for the former Kinsler Coat Manufacturing in Springfield. Rita was a communicant and greeter of St. Aloysius Church (now known as St. Jude) where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and a volunteer for St. Aloysius Bingo. She was a member and Assistant Vice President of the Indian Orchard Golden Agers and was also a Sunshine lady. Rita is survived by her son Donald Guertin; her brother Edward Lessard of East Longmeadow, a sister in law, Barbara Lessard of Amherst; several nieces and nephews, including, Juliette Galica of Indian Orchard; several great nieces and nephews, including Theresa Lynch of Chicopee. Rita's funeral service will be held on Thursday 9 a.m. from Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Jude's Church. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (Today) from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Lamothe 1919-2007 HOLYOKE, MASS. - Loretta-Pauline Lamothe, 88, went to her reward on August 12, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Indian Orchard on June 16, 1919, to the late Wilfred and Aurelie (Phaneuf) Lamothe. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Church in Indian Orchard and was an accountant at Uniroyal Tire for several years before her retirement. Loretta was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and a charter member of Loving Hands Auxiliary. She was a resident of St. Luke's Home for 19 years, before being transferred in 2003 to Mount St. Vincent's Nursing Home in Holyoke. Loretta is survived by her friends, Marjorie Boober of Wilbraham and Kathleen Kennedy of Holyoke. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 16, at 9 a.m. in St. Luke's Chapel on 79 Spring St.,Springfield. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ware, MA. LeBlanc, 43, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, Aug. 14, 2007. Born in Holyoke, he was the son of Henry LeBlanc of Holyoke and the late Mary ( Sulfresh ) LeBlanc. Henry worked for the past 19 years at Carey's Flowers in South Hadley. He is survived by his wife, Maryann ( Goshea ) LeBlanc and her daughter, Maureen McGinnis, a granddaughter Jessica Morse, a grandson Shane Maynard, two brothers, Francis LeBlanc and Phillip LeBlanc, two sisters, Karen Nelson and Leslie Stoltz, as well as several nieces & nephews. Calling Hours for Henry will be on Friday from 5-7pm in the Ryder Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley. There are no funeral services planned and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
