THE REPUBLICAN Springfield, MA. 20 August 2007 Judith (Loiselle) Freeman 1943 - 2007 WESTFIELD, MASS. - Judith (Loiselle) Freeman, 63, of Franklin Street, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 18, 2007. She was born on September 19, 1943 in Springfield where she lived the majority of her life before moving to Westfield in 2006. Judy was a lovely person who knew her own mind and spoke it often. She always had a smile for you and loved a good joke. She especially enjoyed the outdoors in the spring and summer when the flowers were all in bloom and the sun shining. Judith thoroughly enjoyed sweets, shopping trips, evenings out with friends and movies. She was also a volunteer for the Salvation Army. Judith was supported by the staff of The Association for Community Living in a home in Westfield for the last year of her life. She will be sadly missed by her housemates and her support staff. The family would like to heart fully thank them for their support and love over the last year. She leaves a son, Donald Freeman, III of Springfield, whom was the center of her world, a brother, Allen "Ricky" Loiselle of Las Vegas, four sisters, Nancy Kabarsky of California, Ann Moore of Michigan, Donna Hutchinson of West Springfield, and Margaret Loiselle of Worcester. She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene "Buster" Loiselle and a sister, June Loiselle. The funeral will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, with burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 - 7 p.m. The family wishes family and friends to make donations in Judith's memory to The Association for Community Living, 1 Carando Drive, Suite 2, Springfield, MA 01104. LaBrecque 1920 - 2007 SPRINGFIELD, MASS. - Elizabeth Ann (Brown) LaBrecque, 87, a former longtime resident of Milford St., Springfield, died on Saturday in the Birch Manor Nursing Home in Chicopee. She was born in Belchertown on July 22, 1920, the daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie (Dunlop) Brown. A seamstress by trade, Betty was at one time employed at the Wesson Women's Hospital and retired in 1987 after working in the Housekeeping Department at Mercy Medical Center for 15 years. A former member of the Liberty Methodist Church in Springfield, she was also associated with WAABI. Her husband, Eugene D. "Biddo" LaBrecque died on February 25, 1982. Betty is survived by 3 sons, E. Browning LaBrecque and his wife Fay of Ludlow, Douglas B. LaBrecque and his wife Lisa of West Springfield and Dennis R. LaBrecque of Springfield, a daughter, Donna J. Lancaster and her husband Larry of Aurora, CO, a brother, George Brown and a sister, Shirley Desroches, both of Belchertown. She also leaves her 8 grandchildren, Lori Lancaster, Sarai, Jonathan, Stephen and David LaBrecque, Desiree LaBrecque, Renee Letendre and Aimee LaBrecque. Besides her husband and parents, Betty was also predeceased by 3 brothers, Kenneth, Thomas and Albert Brown and 5 sisters, Glenrose Rollet, Madeline Obremski, June Bloomberg, Hazel Zitka and Edythe Owen. The funeral will be held on Wednesday morning at 10 in the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Chicopee. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 4 to 7 P.M. Betty's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Birch Manor Nursing Home for their warmth and the compassionate care given and request that donations in her memory be made to the Birch Manor Activities Fund, 44 New Lombard Road, Chicopee, MA 01020. (Harnois) Plasse, 78, formerly of Lower Westfield Rd., died Sunday August 19, 2007 in the Chapin Center in Springfield. She was born in Chicopee, the daughter of the late Homer and Evelyn (Brisson) Harnois. She was educated in the Holyoke Schools. Claire worked as a Nurses Aid at the Holyoke Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her former husband, Jean-Paul Plasse in 2003. Claire is survived by her daughters, Sandra Malo and her husband Roger of Chicopee, Paula Turconi of Chicopee, and Renee Slachetka and her husband Daniel of Palmer, also her four grandchildren, Roger, Jeffrey, Shannon, and Desiree, and her four great grandchildren. The funeral for Claire will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 am in the Ryder Funeral Home followed with her burial in St. Rose Cemetery both in South Hadley.
