Madeleine Cadieux > Noel + Marthe Golle George Schwentner Jr. of Whitehall Township George M. Schwentner Jr., 62, of Whitehall Township, died June 7, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Judith A. (Fortier) Schwentner. They celebrated their 41st anniversary in January. Before retiring in 1995, he was an engineer at AT&T, Allentown, now Lucent Technologies, for 30 years, and a member of its Pioneers. A son of the late George M. Sr. and Barbara (Nadzadi) Schwentner, he was born in Wilkes-Barre. Schwentner Jr. was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. He was a member of Fullerton Fire Company No. 2, Allentown. In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Michael G. of Egypt; daughters, Anne-Marie, wife of Thomas O. Kern of Catasauqua, and Alicia L., wife of Richard A. Bluis of Harrisburg; sisters, Marie Kumiega of Wilkes-Barre, Florence, wife of Joseph Kuchinski of Columbia, Tenn.; and five grandchildren. Arrangements were made by Kohut Funeral Home, Allentown.
