She was a twister in the combing room at Shawsheen Mills and more recently worked at Suzie Sweets in Lawrence and the Yum Yum Shop in North Andover. Born and educated in Lawrence, Mrs. Fortier graduated from Sacred Heart School in Lawrence and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Sodality. The widow of Henry J. Fortier, she leaves daughter Claire A. Savary and her husband Joseph of Lawrence; sister Jeanette Berube of Waltham; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Arthur J. Scott Funeral Home, 298 S. Broadway, Lawrence. A funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Lawrence. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
